Buddhist Logic class (second class) Sunday, Nov. 24th 3:30pm to 5pm Open to all!

Dharmakirti

Buddhist Logic is used by practitioners to explore basic truths in an attempt to determine their accuracy through valid cognition (Tibetan: ཚད་མ་) or Pramana (Sanskrit: प्रमाण, Pramāṇa), which literally means “proof” and “means of knowledge”. Phenomena are generally categorized into obvious truths like gross suffering and impermanence, slightly hidden truths like subtle impermanence, and extremely hidden truths like karma.  In this class, we will explore different ways that we can investigate the different truths taught by the Buddha, and in particular, the path of logic and inferential reasoning.
