Acharya Nagarjuna was a great sage born about 400 years after Buddha’s parinirvana. He composed several major texts elucidating the Middle Way teachings on emptiness and dependent origination. He is also credited for bringing the Perfection of Wisdom Sutras from the land of the Nagas to the human realm. In his text Sixty Stanzas on Reasoning (Yuktisastika-karika, Tibetan: rigs pa drug cu pa ), Nagarjuna gives a concise overview of Middle Way reasoning to help aspirants cut through extreme views and find the liberating path of uniting wisdom with skillful means.
